N'dambi live@bandonthewall review

When i heard the soulstress from dallas was going to be in band on the wall, i didn't hesitate to get tickets. The fiery n'dambi kicked off the first segment with songs from pink elephant (L.I.E , What it takes & Nobody Jones - clearly my favourite track on the album ). She explains the track what it takes was inspired by the obamas. As a songwriter, she explains she writes through other peoples experiences.
The 2nd segment of the showed the fiery songstress at her best. She carries on with songs from her new record-  Ooo Baby & imitator.

She goes on to do an acoustic version of  Sunshine (from her debut album, a little lost girl's blues - a song she loves to perform when she's on the road. To be honest, i only got on n'dambi when i heard can't hardly wait off her Stax debut. I had come across her name a few years ago but didn't pay much attention. I am definitely going to be copping A little lost girl's blues after songs like sunshine & lonely woman won me over. She gives us a little freestyle at the beginning of can't hardly wait on how the lyrics came to her when listening to ugk. She closes the amazing set with the upbeat the world is a beat. Catch her if you can on wednesday for one night only at the jazz cafe.
