(Mini Review ) Emeli Sande/Jake Mattison - Live at the Deaf Institute, Manchester

I caught about 3 songs from the support act Jake Mattison. Will have to keep an eye out for Jake & his band cos i loved what i heard.

The debut album, our version of events is not out until february next year, so some of the songs were unfamiliar to most of us. The set started with the songs sticking aroundwhere i sleep, suitcase, last the lifetime and one of her favourite song called clown.

The songs that followed, my kind of love next to me will have to be 2 of my favourites on the nite. I heard next to me a few months ago when Emeli performed an exclusive set for mistajam ( 1xtra ) - loved it the first time i heard it & was glad it made the set. The cuts that followed were breaking the law, Hope (song she co-wrote with Alicia Keys) river.

The amazing set carried on with a chorus interlude -  Never be your woman (Wiley) , Diamond rings (Chip)& the number one single read all about it (Professor Green). Have to be honest and say this is one of the best intimate gigs i've been for a while. Can't wait to see emeli again when the album is finally released. She finished the night with gravity, daddy (new single out 27th november), mountains( another favourite of mine) & her no. 2 single, heaven. All i can say is make sure you support Emeli and BUY the singles/album when it's released.

p.s: LOVE THE DEAF INSTITUTE ( Nice intimate venue ) - props were its due :).
