Bahama Soul Club - The Cuban Tapes ( Album Review)

Following on from the success of their debut album, Rhythm is What Makes Jazz Jazz, and their sophomore record, Bossa Nova Just Smells Funky, The Bahama Soul Club are back with a brilliant new album, The Cuban Tapes.

The album being inspired by the sixties era coupled with the film, I Am Cuba. Some scenes from the film can be found on the video to 'Ay Jona'.

The Cuban Tapes is one of those records you just let play from start to finish. While reviewing the album, I found myself reaching for the rewind button a few times - It is that good an album.

Notable mentions on the album include: Grinning in Your Face ft Blues/Folk Singer (Ruthie Foster), That's What We Need, I Warned You Baby ft Spanky Wilson, Soledad ft Telmary, Tike Suit Pt.2 - original and Club Des Belugas remix, Ay Jona, La Serenata and Cuervo Gold.

The album is available in most digital outlets and you will have to wait a few weeks to get the physical release.

Maysa - Inside My Dream ( Official Video)

After blessing us with the visuals to Love Me Good and When You Touch Me, Maysa has recently released the video to Inside My Dream taken from the brilliant album, Blue Velvet Soul released earlier this year. The album comes highly recommended and is definitely on my top ten albums of the year - you need the record in your collection if you haven't already checked it out.

Rox - Kryptonite ( Official Video)

After a 3 year hiatus, The talented Singer/Songwriter, Rox is back with a new video/single, Kryptonite which is available to download on the 18th October. Her debut album, Memoirs is still a favourite of mine to this day and this is hoping we won't have to wait that long for the new album.
